US criticizes Myanmar military of ethnic cleansing of Rohingya Muslims

The United States has criticized Myanmar’s military for persecution and ethnic cleansing of Rohingya Muslims.
In a meeting with Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi in Singapore, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said the violence and persecution by military and vigilantes that resulted in driving seven hundred thousand Rohingyas to Bangladesh is unjustified.
United Nations mandated investigators have also accused the Myanmar military of unleashing a campaign of killings, rape and arson with genocidal intent.
