Punjab job portal: 332 departments registered for jobs

LAHORE: The Punjab Job Portal has registered332 departments of the Punjab government, enabling 11,175candidates to apply online for various categories of 143available job postings on the portal by various provincialdepartments.
The portal developed by the Punjab Information TechnologyBoard (PITB) was launched in August this year.
It was informedin a progress review meeting, held here Tuesday under the chairmanship of Dr Umar Saif, founding vice chancellor ofInformation Technology University (ITU) Punjab, Chairman PITBand Advisor to the Punjab chief minister.
On this occasion, Dr Umar Saif said that the job portal was helping departments hiring suitable people and providing opportunities to people to apply for the desired vacant positions without visiting departments and involving any middle man.
The portalhttp://jobs.punjab.gov.pk is especiallydeveloped to act as a single window for applying to all Punjabprovincial government jobs facilitates the candidates toassess their eligibility for the offered vacancies.
Traffic toPITB's Job Portal website illustrates continued demand fromjob seekers across a range of departments and positions.
