DUBAI -The world’s most expensive perfume – dubbed Shumukh (‘Spirit of Dubai’) – launched on Tuesday in Dubai with price of DHS 4.752 million.
The fragrance, which is a multiple Guinness World Record holding perfume, is adorned by 3,571 diamonds and other precious materials, such as topaz, pearls and gold. The one-of-a-kind bottle tells the tale of the great Emirate, via seven core design elements including Arabian horses, roses and falconry.
The bottle itself stands 1.97-metres tall and took more than three years (and 494 trials) to create. Shumuck – which in Arabic translates to ‘deserving the highest’ – is made up of natural ingredients sourced from the furthest corners of the globe, which creates a scent unlike any other.
Fragrance notes include sandalwood, musk, Turkish rose, patchouli, Ylang-ylang, and pure Indian agarwood.
