Syria: 53 killed in Ghouta, Afrin

 In Syria, thirty one civilians have been killed in fresh bombardment by the regime and Russian forces in an isolated southern zone in Ghouta.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a dozen rebels, including two top commanders were also killed in the Russian strikes.

Meanwhile, ten pro-regime fighters have been killed in Turkish air strikes targeting a checkpoint on the only road leading from Afrin to regime-controlled territory in the southeast.

The Observatory said Turkey-led forces have control over seventy percent area of the Kurdish enclave. APP/AFP
