Gilgit-Baltistan to become separate province of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A committee presided over by Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Tuesday recommended to grant Gilgit-Baltistan a provincial status.
Talking to Geo News, Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Riaz Hussain Pirzada said that a constitutional amendment bill will be presented in light of these recommendations.
The minister said that Kashmir should also be made into a separate province, but no consensus has been reached on the matter as yet.
