Unconfirmed reports: TTP chief Mullah Fazlullah killed in US drone strike

ISLAMABAD: A US drone strike has targeted defunct TTP chief Mullah Fazlullah in Kunar province near the border with Pakistan.
A US military official said the US forces conducted a counterterrorism strike targeting a senior leader of terrorist organization.
Unconfirmed reports from locals said Mullah Fazlullah was killed in the strike. However, Pentagon officials declined to comment whether the strike was successful.
