Karachi: PTI government announces important step over Sindh cabinet decision of removing IG Sindh. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) led government has decided to move to court against the transfer of Inspector General (IG) Sindh Kaleem Imam.

While talking to media today, PTI leader and member Sindh assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi said that it is federal government’s domain to select three names for IG.

“They should learn the law first. We will not let them transfer IG Kaleem Imam at any cost,” he said.

Firdous Naqvi said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has contacted Governor Sindh Imran Ismail over the issue of IG Sindh’s transfer.

“We have raised our concerns and reservations over the issue of Kaleem Imam’s transfer. Governor Sindh has assured us that no police officer can be replaced without consultation,” he said.

He added that IG should be given an opportunity to defend charge sheet against him.

On the occasion, PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh said that IG Kaleem Imam is a competent officer.

“We are standing with IG Sindh and would approach court or federal government if needed to defend him,” he said.
