Senate elections: Ishaq Dar challenges ECP decision

ISLAMABAD: Former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has challenged the decision of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to reject his nomination papers filed for Senate elections.
Ishaq Dar said in his plea that the Returning Officer dismissed his nomination papers while going against the facts, adding he submitted the application attached with all certified papers.
According to ECP, the nomination papers were rejected because the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader failed to submit the certified declaration with the nomination papers.
The commission stated that they had given time to Dar for filing the declaration.
