First Software Technology Park in Islamabad to house more than 150 IT firms

Pakistan and Korean Exim Bank will sign an agreement for the establishment of first Software Technology Park in Islamabad on 21st of this month.
This was announced by Minister of state Information Technology Anusha Rahman at award distribution ceremony of National Telecom Corporation in Islamabad today.
The project will help Pakistan to promote IT sector and more than 150 IT firms would be accommodated in this park.
She said that after the agreement construction in 45 acre lands at Chak Shahzad will be started.
Anusha Rahman said that that government is committed to connect the whole Pakistan through modern communication technologies by the end of 2018.
The Minister said that one hundred and seven latest technology center would be set up in rural areas of Islamabad by the end of June this year. She said more than 50,000 girls will be trained in these labs.
She said the registration of Pakistan dot(.) is to promote Urdu language.
