Cobra Gold: Asia's largest multinational military exercise kicks off

The United States and its Asian allies have begun first joint military exercise in Thailand.

The annual "Cobra Gold military exercise" hosted by the US and Thailand is one of Asia's largest multinational drills.

More than 8,300 personnel from 29 countries, including Japan, South Korea, China and Southeast Asian nations are taking part this year in the exercise.

Eleven days exercise focused on landing drills using amphibious vehicles and humanitarian assistance projects.
