On special directions of PM Khan, government announces to restore gas supply to CNG sector in Karachi

ISLAMABAD - Federal minister for petroleum Ghulam sarwar khan who on directives of Prime minister Imran Khan had arrived in karachi has announced that Gas supply to CNG sector will be restored by 8:00 pm this evening.

Talking to media men along with Governor Sindh Imran Isamail in Karachi today he said that he on the directives of Prime minister held meetings with all stakeholders including Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and discussed with them the issue in detail.

He said that three day closuer shedule during winter season of CNGs will continue to be enforced which will be minimized.

He said that representatives of government and CNG sector will be in close touch with Sui Southern Gas company on the matter.

He said that in Punjab industry in Faisalabad and Sialkot was hundred percent restored by converting it on LNG. He said that equal treatment is also being meted out with Sindh in this regard.

He said that hundred percent relief will be given to Industry sector in Sindh as well.

He said that it has been decided in his meetings with stake holders that fifty percent gas supply for captive industry will be restored which with the passage of time will be increased.

He said that gas crisis took place because of shortfall in the system of Sidh gas company as compare to last year.

He said after the gas crisis emerged prime minister directed me to immediately rush to the Karachi returned after getting the crisis over.

he said that prime minister Imran khan has also constituted an inquiry committee on the matter.
