Companies Ordinance 2016 disapproved by Senate with majority vote

The House passed the resolution disapproving the Companies Ordinance, 2016 with a majority vote.
The resolution was tabled by opposition members while Law Minister Zahid Hamid defended the ordinance and said that the government is ready to accommodate any workable suggestions from the opposition benches.
He said the Ordinance is aimed at giving impetus to the economy and the economic growth in the country. He said it will also provide relief to the corporate sector, especially small and medium size companies.
