Pakistan House New York Flag hoisting ceremony on Independence Day

NEW YORK (APP): Pakistan's Independence Day was celebrated with traditional fervour and enthusiasm at the Pakistan House in New York on Sunday with the hoisting of the national flag by Pakistani Consul General Raja Ali Ejaz.
The national anthem was played as the green crescent-and-star went up the mast before a gathering of officers and staff of the Pakistan Mission to the UN and the Consulate General as well as Pakistani nationals, including military officers, working for the UN along with their families. They jointly prayed for peace and prosperity of Pakistan.
Raja Ali Ejaz, consul general in New York, read out the Independence Day message of President Mamnoon Hussain while acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, Nabeel Munir, read out the message of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
