Sindh IGP directs to make strict security arrangements on Easter

KARACHI: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, A.D. Khawaja on Saturday directed the security should be beefed up in the province on the occasion of Easter.
He instructed, with the collaboration of the administration of the main Churches, the physical searching of the individuals should be ensured and walk through gates should be installed besides the usage of metal detectors.
Khawaja urged the extraordinary security steps should be taken for districts in the province especially for the Churches in Karachi's East and South zones.
He said the implementation of the security steps should begin from tonight.
The IGP directed that a vigilant eye should be kept on suspects and abandoned bags, parcels or any other articles.
In case of any suspected activities, police should be informed immediately. (APP)
