ISLAMABAD: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), under its nationwide campaign, has conducted 22 operations and recovered 156.42 kg drugs and 55,000 Valium Tabs (Diazepam).

During these operations, the Force apprehended 32 persons including two ladies involved in narcotics smuggling and seized nine vehicles.

The recovered drugs comprised 136.16 kg Hashish, 15.98 kg Heroin, 4.25 kg Amphetamine and 30 gram Opium.

As details here on Saturday, ANF Quetta intercepted a Suzuki Hi-Roof Ambulance No. WAE-263 opposite Sheikh Zahid Hospital, Mustang Road, Quetta and recovered 50 kg Hashish from vehicle while arresting two persons namely Sana ul Haq and Samuel Masih, both residents of Quetta.

ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Sher Dil Khan, resident of Attock, and recovered 1.5 kg Hashish from his possession. He was arrested near Hamzaq Petroleum, Kohat Road, Fateh Jhang, Attock.

In another operation ANF Rawalpindi arrested a local drug carrier namely Khurshid Hussain, resident of Peshawar near Jhallah Khan Chowk, Attock and recovered 1.3 kg Hashish from his personal possession.

ANF Lahore while acting upon a tip-off intercepted a Suzuki Swift Car at Malik Brothers Goods Transport, Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore and recovered 48 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of a car while arresting three persons identified as Aamir Khan, resident of Aurakzai Agency, Wajid Meer, resident of Khyber Agency and Muhammad Sajid, resident of Gujranwala.

In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Car and Motorcycle CD-70 near Mian Channu Tool Plaza, GT Road, Khanewal and recovered 6 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the car. Two persons were arrested namely Ali Haider, resident of Kohat and Sajjad Aziz, resident of Lodhran.

In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested a passenger at Allama Iqbal International Airport, namely Saif Ullah, resident of Bannu.

He intended to travel to United Arab Emirates (UAE) (Sharjah) by PIA Flight No. PK-412 and recovered 460 grams Hashish concealed in his shoes.

In forth operation, ANF Lahore arrested a drug carrier namely Sher Muhammad, resident of Sargodha near Dera Sher Muhammad, Village Matila, Tehsil Kot Momin, District Sargodha and recovered three (3) kg Hashish from his personal possession.

In fifth operation ANF Lahore conducted a joint operation with Punjab Rangers near PSO Pump Hadyara Adda, Barki Road, Lahore and arrested two (2) persons namely Muhammad Asif, resident of Lahore and Muhammad Bota, resident of Kasur and recovered three (3) kg Heroin.

In sixth operation ANF Lahore arrested a lady drug peddler namely Amina Bibi, resident of Faisalabad near Jahangir Moor, Samundari Road, Faisalabad and recovered 500 gram Heroin from her personal possession.

In seventh operation, ANF Lahore Airport Team arrested Ghulam Habib resident of Swat at Allama Iqbal International Airport, while he was boarding to KSA (Madina) by Etehad Airline Flight No. EY-0244 and recovered 2.200 kg Amphetamine, concealed in his trolley bag.

In 8th operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Motorcycle CD-70 near Petrol Pump Lakkar Mandi, Dullewala Road, Tehsil Darya Khan, Bakhar and recovered one (1) kg Hashish from possession of accused namely Muhammad Akbar, resident of Bakhar.

ANF Peshawar recovered one (1) kg Heroin from possession of a lady drug carrier namely Rizwana Riqaab, resident of Peshawar, while she was travelling in a passenger Hiace near Motorway Toll Plaza.

In another operation, ANF Peshawar on suspicion arrested an ingested carrier of heroin filled capsules namely Muhammad Qasim, resident of Chiniot, who was admitted in hospital for delivery of capsules. Eight heroin filled capsules weighing 500 grams were delivered.

In third operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Umer Said, resident of Charsadda at Peshawar Airport while he was boarding for Taif (KSA) via Doha (Qatar) by Qatar Airways Flight No. QR-601 and recovered 2.050 kg Amphetamine, concealed in his trolley bag.

In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Sadaqat Hussain, resident of Attock and recovered 30 grams Opium and two (2) kg Hashish. The accused was travelling in a Hiace (passenger vehicle) near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar.

In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Surf bearing Reg No. LG-640 at Dhamtor Chowk, Murree Road, Abbottabad and recovered two (2) kg Hashish from personal possession of three accused namely Muhammad Kashif, Wasim Khan and Mazhar Hussain, all resident of Abbottabad.

In sixth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Corolla XLI car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 1.5 kg Hashish from possession of three accused namely Muhammad Abdullah, Haroon Shahzad and Usama Bin Nadeem. They are all resident of Islamabad.

In seventh operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Honda Civic Car near Old Toll Plaza Kohat and recovered 14.4 kg Hashish from accused namely Zakir Ullah, resident of Peshawar, concealed in secret cavity of the car.

ANF Karachi in collaboration with Sindh Rangers recovered 800 grams Heroin and five (5) kg Hashish from two accused namely Muhammad Nazim and Sami Ullah, resident of Karachi near Nadria Van Stand, Taj Complex Saddar, Karachi.

In second operation, ANF Karachi recovered 55000 Valium Tabs (Diazepam) from a shipment being sent to Cambodia through Pakistan Post at Cargo Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, which were concealed in a carton.

A person namely Babar Jameel, resident of Karachi has been arrested.

In third operation, ANF Karachi arrested accused namely Muhammad Anjum Hassan, resident of Gujar Khan at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 10 kg Heroin which was concealed in a suitcase.

He was travelling to Barcelona, Spain via Doha by Flight No. QR-605.

In forth operation, ANF Karachi recovered 180 grams Heroin by intercepting a Netherland bound parcel being sent through OCS office Haripur, concealed in Bukram Roll.

All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations and further investigations are underway. (APP)
