Islamabad administration refuses PTI to hold gathering at F-9 Park


ISLAMABAD: While rejecting the application of PTI, Islamabad administration has refused to allow PTI to hold Political gathering in F-9 Park here at Friday while PTI has also been informed in written form in this regard.

 

As per details, Deputy Commissioner has written a letter to PTI officials, stating that PTI would not be allowed to hold a rally at F-9 Park due to security reasons.

 

He further stated in his letter that section 144 is already imposed in Islamabad, according to which to hold demonstration, use of loud speaker and display of weapons are prohibited.  

 

DC made it clear that we cannot put the lives of locals in threat under the title of freedom of expression adding that basic rights of people would disturb if PTI is permitted to hold a gathering.

 

On the other hand, PTI Spokesperson Naeem ul Haq made it clear that foundation day would be celebrated here at F-9 Park at any cost and we do not need to take permission from district administration for peaceful political activities in federal capital.

 

Administration would be responsible for the consequences if hurdles are created by government. He added.
