In a recent development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has designatedMohammad Hafeez, the former cricketer, as the new director of cricket,succeeding Mickey Arthur.
This change comes shortly after the national team’s exit from the 2023World Cup. The PCB also announced a reorganization of the coaching staff,stating that all coaches will remain at the National Cricket Academy, withnew appointments for the upcoming series in Australia and New Zealand to berevealed later.
Additionally, former pacer Wahab Riaz is now the chief selector, fillingthe vacancy left by Inzamam-ul-Haq’s resignation due to conflict ofinterest allegations. Sohail Tanveer has been appointed as the head of thejunior selection team.
