ISLAMABAD – The meeting of Executive Committee of the National EconomicCouncil was held in Islamabad today (Wednesday) with Finance Minister AsadUmar in the chair.
The Committee approved development projects in various areas of the country.
The committee approved power evacuation from hydro power projects of SukiKinari Mansehra in KP, Kohala Muzaffarabad and Mahal Bagh in AJK at a costof 79,929.73 million.
The Meeting also approved Sind Solar Energy Project at a cost of 12,848.11million rupees aiming to support the scale up of solar power in Sindh.
The project will also improve energy security and fulfill Pakistan’sinternational commitments on climate change.
