Blast in Balochistan, High profile politician among wounded

Hafiz Hamdullah, a member of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), sustained injuries in a blast that occurred in Balochistan's Mastung district on Thursday.
Mobile phone footage aired on television depicted a bloodied Hamdullah being assisted by two armed individuals while he spoke. JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghauri, speaking to Geo News shortly after the blast, confirmed Hamdullah's injuries but assured that they were not critical. He mentioned that Hamdullah, along with the others traveling with him, including the gunmen, sustained minor injuries and that there was no serious concern at the moment.
Ghauri explained that they were en route from Quetta to Kalat when the incident took place after passing through Mastung. However, the nature of the blast, whether it was a suicide attack or a planted bomb, remained unclear. Ghauri further stated that Hamdullah and the injured individuals had been transported to a hospital in Quetta.
According to Mastung Assistant Commissioner Ataullah Memon, a total of 11 people had been injured in the incident and were subsequently transferred to Quetta for medical treatment.
