Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar firmly rejected the idea of engaging in talks with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), reiterating his dedication to eliminating all elements hostile to the state. Kakar assured that Pakistan possesses the strength to confront TTP for the next century.
He addressed journalists alongside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan and Governor Haji Ghulam Ali, emphasizing that the main impediment to negotiations with TTP is the lack of willingness from their side.
He stated unequivocally that there is no intention to negotiate with TTP, emphasizing the establishment of the state's authority at all costs.
Kakar also clarified that Pakistan's measures to expel illegal residents do not target registered Afghan refugees, but rather foreigners living unlawfully in the country.
He expressed Pakistan's desire to maintain international standards for relations with Afghanistan, emphasizing the need for proper visas for the movement of people, as the absence of registration in Pakistan's database makes it challenging to distinguish between law-abiding residents and criminals among the illegal population.
