Former head coach of the Pakistan cricket team, Saqlain Mushtaq, has said that we gave a bit too much respect to the Indian bowlers, which led to increased pressure.
While speaking on the program on Hum news channel, Saqlain Mushtaq mentioned that the Indian bowlers bowled well, and during that time, our players showed them a bit too much respect, which increased the pressure, and our batting lineup struggled.
He expressed that he believes the way the pitch was, we should have played at least 50 overs. The national team had a good start, but they couldn't maintain it.
Saqlain Mushtaq mentioned that Babar Azam made a wrong decision by taking a single, and that's why the situation slipped out of our hands.
If he hadn't taken a single and showed more maturity in that moment, the situation might have been different. He further said that he has always maintained that the Indian team plays cricket with more discipline and intelligence than us.
