Federal government postponed approval of atleast 6 important ordinances

ISLAMABAD – The federal cabinet has postponed the approval of ordinances sent by the Law Ministry.

The approval of ordinances pertaining to amendment to NAB Laws, ‘benami’ transactions, Legal and Justice Authority, superior courts, Letter of Administration and Succession and women’s inheritance rights have been postponed.

The cabinet has decided to form a special committee on the NAB cases against civil servants and businessmen. The NAB will send the cases against civil servants and businessmen to the committee before launching the inquiry against them.

Talking to the media after the cabinet meeting, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the prime minister has taken the cabinet into confidence over his visits to China and Iran.
