Pakistani opener Imam ul Huq undergoes surgery in Dubai, advised three weeks rest

DUBAI - Pakistani opener Imamul-Haq has undergone a surgery over his injury.

He has been advised three-week rest after undergoing surgery on his fractured finger in Dubai on Saturday.

The 22-year-old left-hander fractured the fifth finger of his left hand while fielding against Australia in first Test match. He has been ruled out of the second Test starting in Abu Dhabi from October 16.

Imam scored 76 and 48 in the first Test against Australia. He also featured in a double century opening stand with Mohammad Hafeez in the first innings and took three catches.
