Afghanistan unrest: Taliban restore red cross security guarantee

Taliban have restored a security guarantee in Afghanistan for the international committee for Red Cross, two months after withdrawing safe passage for the neutral humanitarian agency.

The move came at a meeting between the representatives of Taliban and an ICRC official in Kabul.

The Taliban agreed to renew a pact allowing the agency to continue to provide and expand medical aid to all parties harmed by warfare.
