'Strict laws will be framed to control money laundering'

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability, Shahzad Akbar says strict laws would be framed to control money laundering and bring back the looted amount.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the government has investigated money laundering cases in United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates and Federal Investigating Agency team would visit UAE next week for further investigation.      

He said the present government has already signed Memorandum of Understanding with UK on accountability and anti-money laundering and negotiations also underway with UAE authority to sign an agreement to speed up accountability process.
