LAHORE - India has released eight detained Pakistanis on Saturday, GNN reported.
India’s Border Security Forces (BSF) handed over the eight people to Pakistani authorities at Wagah-Attari border.
The freed persons include Abdul Rasheed, Sohail, Syed Javed, Iqbal, Ghulam Akbar, Irfanullah and Javed Aslam.
Pakistan High Commission in India played a crucial role for the repatriation of the Pakistani prisoners.
Last year in April, Pakistan had released 360 India fishermen as a good will gesture. They were freed in different batches.
All the fishermen were arrested for violating Pakistani waters.
