Massacre of Kashmiris by Indian forces exposed New Delhi as an aggressor: Sehrai

In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has said that the massacre of the Kashmiris by Indian forces on daily basis has exposed New Delhi as an aggressor before the comity of the nations.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement in Srinagar said India has never been serious about addressing the Kashmir dispute in its historical perspective. On the contrary, he added that the country had been dealing with the political dispute with an iron fist and Delhi’s military approach was guiding BJP’s policy on Kashmir.

Complete shutdown was observed in Tral area of South Kashmir on the third consecutive day, on Wednesday, against the killing of three youth by Indian troops on Sunday. All shops and other business establishments were closed while traffic was off the roads.

The students of University of Kashmir staged a protest demonstration inside the varsity campus, today, to condemn the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami by Narendra Modi-led Indian government. While shouting slogans the students demanded the removal of the ban immediately.

An Indian soldier was shot dead by unknown gunmen at Pinglina in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, today.

And in Geneva, hundreds of Kashmiris from across Europe staged a peaceful demonstration outside the UN office to condemn the gross human rights violations by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

The protest was led by Kashmiri leader, Altaf Hussain Wani. A photo exhibition and a seminar were also held on the sidelines of the Human Rights Council session in Geneva.

South Asia Centre for Peace and Human Rights in coordination with International Commission for Human Rights and Kashmir Youth Assembly held a Kashmir roadside show outside the Commonwealth Secretariat in London. 

Representatives of the Commonwealth countries visited the show. The exhibition depicted the gross human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.
