US seeking to impose tariffs up to $60b on Chinese imports

WASHINGTON:The United States is seeking to impose tariffs up to 60 billion dollars on Chinese imports, which will target the technology and telecommunications sectors.
According to White House sources, tariffs could be much broader and the list could eventually run to 100 products.
China runs a 375 billion dollar trade surplus with the United States and US the administration wants China to come up with a way of reducing that number. APP/AFP
