Iran wants resolution, not escalation on UK seizure of oil tanker: Zarif

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said that Iran wants to resolve the ongoing crisis involving the UK seizure of an Iranian tanker.
In a statement, he said Britain should release the Grace 1 oil tanker, which was seized last week by British Royal Marines off the coast of the British Mediterranean territory of Gibraltar on suspicion of violating sanctions against Syria.
Earlier, UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said the Iranian tanker detained by Royal Marines could be released, if Iran guarantees that the oil is not bound for Syria.
