PIA and Pakistan Steel Mills to be privatized in 2016, Pakistan assures IMF.

ISLAMABAD: Federal government has assured IMF regarding the privatization of PIA and Pakistan Steel Mills. Both institution will be privatized in 2016.
As per details, both institution are being privatized under IMF’s Economic Reforms Program. Pakistan Steel Mills will be privatized in September 2016 while 26% shares of PIA will be sold in June 2016.
10 to 15 percent shares of the State Life, 40 percent shares of Kot Addu Power Company and 18 percent shares of Mari Petroleum Limited could be sold by government in this year.
