Four nation session on Afghan peace show resolve for Afghanistan durable peace

ISLAMABAD: Four country session emphasized to start immediately direct dialogues between Afghan government and Taliban groups.

 

As per details, four nation session was held in Islamabad regarding the Afghan peace talks. Officials from Pakistan, Afghanistan, America and China participated in the session.

 

Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Hikmat Khalil, Pakistan Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry, Richard Olson and Chinese special envoy Deing Zee Jon headed their delegations in session.

 

According to the joint declaration of session, joint efforts will be made to provide facilitation in reconciliatory process.

 

Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said the purpose of the meeting was to bring Taliban on negotiations table. Next meeting will be held at Kabul on January 18.
