Blast near Pakistani consulate in Jalalabad kill at least six: Afghan Media

KABUL: A suicide bomber blasted near Pakistani consulate in eastern city of Jalalabad while he was stopped from entering inside the consulate by the security forces.

Exchange of fire took place between the companions of the suicide bomber and the Afghan security forces that lasted for hours. Explosions were heard and heavy gun fight took place near the consulate building.

Afghan Security forces were finally able to gun down two suspected terrorists inside a building adjacent to the consulate.

In recent days ISIS activities have tremendously increased in eastern Afghanistan provinces of Jalalabad and Nangarhar where severe clashes between Talibans and ISIS have also been reported and resulted in large scale blood shed causing further violence and anarchy in already war tarnished Afghanistan.
