ISLAMABAD – Major reshuffle in Pakistan Foreign team, 21 senior diplomats including Foreign Office spokesperson changed.
Foreign Office made a major reshuffle of around 21 senior officials including FO spokesperson, Dr. Muhammad Faisal who has been nominated as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Germany.
According to Foreign Office, transferred officials include Rahim Hayat Qureshi and Shafqat Mahmood, who are appointed as ambassador to Iran and Russia respectively.
Pak’s former ambassador to Germany will be transferred to Italy and Additional Secretary FO Nadeem Khan will serve as ambassador to Greece.
DG Europe Malik Farooq is appointed as ambassador to Poland, Muhammad Tariq appointed as Council General in Manchester and DG Counter Terrorism FO Ahmad Farooq appointed in Denmark.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch is appointed as ambassador to South Korea, Zafar Iqbal is nominated for Romania, Muhammad Khalid Ejaz for Argentina and Major General (R) Umar Farooq Barki and Vice Admiral (R) Athar Mukhtar will be transferred to Maldives.
Officer Mariam Madiha Aftab will serve as ambassador to Bulgaria, Dr Ali Ahmed Arain as ambassador to Senegal and Sardar Azhar tariq as ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.
