PML-N last govt has done massive corruption: Durrani

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Media Affairs Iftikhar Durrani said the last government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had done massive corruption that was why its leaders were arrested in corruption charges.

The cases against the Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, Khawaja Saad Rafique and former president Asif Ali Zardari were registered in the previous regimes, he said talking to a private news channel.
He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was committed to eliminate menace of corruption. Accountability process against corrupt elements would not be stopped, he added.

He said Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal was appointed by the previous PML-N government in consultation with PPP. Now they were raising figures on the accountability process of NAB, he stated.

Iftikhar Durrani said the opposition was criticizing the incumbent government just for political point scoring.
