Governor lauds role of Balochistan University

Governor Balochistan Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has lauded the role of Balochistan University in providing higher education facilities to thousands of students.
He expressed these views during a visit to University of Balochistan, Quetta.
The governor said Higher education institutions play significant role in society's development and building future of coming generations and University of Balochistan is also fulfilling this duty and promoting education in different districts of the province.
The Governor inspected different sections of the university including main library, FM Radio station and also inaugurated University Campus TV Station in Media and Journalism department.
Later on, a meeting was held at main Auditorium of the university which was attended by all departmental heads and senior teachers.
During the meeting, the governor was apprised of multiple ongoing academic projects, professional programmes, research activities, development projects and future programs of the university.
The Governor stressed the need for increased focus on information technology in order to bring Balochistan at par with the rest of the provinces.
