Punjab Police seeks help of Army for operation against Chottu gang


RAJANPUR: Police and Rangers joint operation against Chuto gang has entered in 17th day but police could not succeed to overcome the gang and sought help of Army to launch aerial operation against chotu gang.

 

As per details, joint operation of police and Rangers is continued while six policemen were martyrded and several injured in a shootout during previous day action against chotu gang.

 

22 policemen were also held hostage by chotu gang after that police decided to seek help of Pak Army to lunch aerial operation against gang while written application has also been sent to Multan Corps Commander in this regard.

 

Punjab IG Mushtaq Sukhera also held meeting with Multan Corps Commander and exchanged views over the operation against Chotu gang. IG Punjab also informed Corps Commander about the occupation of chotu gang on area of Kacha, Rajanpur.

 

On the other hand, Chotu gang warned to kill the hostage policemen if operation did not stop against them.
