The European Union top diplomat has expressed the determination of the EU and its 28 member states on continuing to implement in full the nuclear deal with Iran.
The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, and 28 foreign ministers of the EU. Member states held a regular meeting at the European Council Headquarters in Brussels Monday, exchanging views on issues including the situation in Libya and the Iran nuclear deal.
After talking with officials from Britain, France and Germany, as well as US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Mogherini said that the EU will continue to fully endorse the Iran nuclear deal and hopes all parties would avoid further escalation of the dispute.
She further reaffirmed the EU 28’s agreement that the IAEA remains the only body that can verify whether Iran is compliant with its nuclear commitments
