In this pivotal role, Interim Foreign Minister Jilani underscored the paramount importance of fostering partnerships and cooperation among Commonwealth nations to advance the cause of education. During his tenure as chair, Foreign Minister Jilani presided over a significant meeting centered on the theme of "Delivering more through Inclusive and Accessible Education." In this context, he highlighted the pivotal role of education not only in empowering youth but also in securing a brighter future for them. This gathering was a testament to the collective commitment of Commonwealth nations to address critical educational issues.
The 10th Commonwealth Youth Ministerial Meeting, which was formally inaugurated by Foreign Minister Jilani at the Commonwealth Headquarters in London, revolved around the theme of "Aim Higher: Delivering More for Young People in the Commonwealth."
This theme closely aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, underlining the global significance of the discussions and decisions made at the meeting.
Furthermore, the meeting's agenda prominently featured four core areas: education, employment, engagement, and the environment. These areas are integral components of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme (PMYP) and will be extensively deliberated upon during the gathering.
