Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has likened the siege of Gaza by Israel to the infamous Leningrad blockade during the Nazi era.
According to an official report, Vladimir Putin, after a leadership meeting, stated in a media conversation that the blockade of Gaza is unacceptable and should be immediately ended.
The Russian president mentioned that Hamas has made mistakes, but Israel is also responding in an unjust manner.
He also emphasized that there is a demand for the United States to facilitate a ceasefire in Gaza, similar to the Leningrad blockade during the Second World War.
Vladimir Putin warned that after the siege, there will be a significant number of casualties in ground operations, with over 2 million people in Gaza, and that the siege is unacceptable.
