International money transfer company MoneyGram launches new initiative in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - International money transfer company MoneyGram has launched a new bank deposit service in Pakistan.

The agreement to this effect was signed in London today between Chairman and CEO of MoneyGram Alex Holmes and CEO of BankAlfalah Bilal Asghar.

The service will allow customers to send money to any bank account in Pakistan.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Spokesperson of Prime Minister on Trade and Investment for UK and Europe Sahibzada Jahangir.

Speaking on the occasion, he said Pakistan is a key market that is positioned for growth, especially in terms of receiving remittances.

He said this initiative is in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan's policies to eliminate money laundering and facilitate the overseas Pakistanis in remitting their hard earned remittances back to Pakistan.
