Pakistan briefs five permanent UN members that Indian continued provocations on LOC, working boundary may lead to strategic miscalculation

Pakistan has expressed grave concern over unprecedented escalation by Indian occupation forces at the Line of Control and Working boundary particularly during the last two months.
The concern was expressed at a briefing by the Foreign Secretary and the Director General Military Operations to the Heads of Missions of permanent members of the UN Security Council in Islamabad.
Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua in her remarks expressed grave concern over the increased frequency of indiscriminate firing and shelling from the Indian side, deliberately targeting civilian population resulting in Shahadat of 45 civilians and injuries to 155 including women and children.
She said Pakistan has displayed exemplary restraint but has been compelled to respond.
Tehmina Janjua said Indian actions are a serious threat for the maintenance of regional peace and tranquility and may lead to a strategic miscalculation.
While emphasizing the important role of the United Nations Military Observers Group, she noted that Pakistan is fully cooperating and providing unfettered access to the Group.
However, India is not cooperative and limits their access.
Director General Military Operations made a comprehensive presentation on the current situation at the LoC and the Working Boundary.
