Sri Lanka blocks social media platforms after Muslim shops, mosques attacked

In Sri Lanka, the government has temporarily blocked today some social media networks and messaging apps, including Facebook and WhatsApp, after the communal riots in the country.
Mosques and properties owned by Muslims came under atatck in the town of Chilaw on the west coast in a dispute that started on Facebook.
