SC allows govt to continue ongoing development projects

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has allowed the government to continue work on ongoing development projects, but restrained it from launching new schemes.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar heard the case at Karachi Registry today and suspended the order of Islamabad High Court canceling notification of Election Commission of Pakistan regarding recruitment in government offices.

The top court summoned ECP and other officials to Islamabad on next hearing.

Meanwhile, Supreme Court also heard a case regarding load shading in Karachi and Hyderabad.
