ISLAMABAD: (APP) Islamabad, the city of illegal housing societies
As many as 119 Housing Societies are operating illegally in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice Senator Muhammad Javed Abbasi said Thursday.
Presenting committee's report in the Upper House of the Parliament, he said a comprehensive report had been laid in the house regarding housing societies in the federal capital.
He lauded Capital Development Authority (CDA) for cooperating with the committee in preparation of the report.
Meanwhile, Senator Mohsin Leghari presented the report of Standing Committee on Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatisation on behalf of its Chairman Saleem Mandviwala.
Mohsin Leghari also presented the report on the question asked by Senator Saeed Ghani regarding the inquiry conducted by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the privatization of Muslim Commercial Bank.
