ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood said Tuesday that the government, in line with the vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, was taking many measures to solve the basic problems of masses.
Talking to a private news channel, he termed the offer of government for medical treatment to Nawaz Sharif a good one and advised him to take advantage of the government’s good gesture seriously.
The minister said the opposition’s hue and cry was only to hide its corruption which they committed during their tenures and done nothing for the poor masses of the country during their governments.
The government invited the opposition again and again to work together for the welfare of masses but unfortunately they did not respond positively.
The minister also advised the PML-N to approach the courts to get permission for medical treatment abroad which was the right forum as the government could not authorise to send him abroad for this purpose.
The cases against Mian Nawaz Sharif were registered in his own tenure and PTI government did not played any role in this regard, he added.
He also appreciated the meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto in the jail and expressed hope this meeting may be helpful for the country and its people.
