NAB arrests former Secretary LU in land scam

KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB- Karachi) here Tuesday arrested former Secretary, Land Utilization (LU), Sindh, Ghulam Mustafa Phull after rejection of his bail from the Supreme Court Registry in land scam.
Two other accused in the case namely Abu Bakar Dawood and Abdul Aziz Dawood both private persons were already under custody of the NAB.
However, Ghulam Mustafa Phul had escaped the premises of Sindh High Court after cancellation of his bail on May 31, 2018.
The accused was wanted in an under-trial NAB reference, filed on the charges of illegal conversion of 70 acres Industrial land to Residential/Commercial purpose, situated in Deh Phihai Korangi Karachi in the year 2011 in his capacity as Secretary LU.
He will be produced before the Accountability Court for judicial remand on Wednesday. APP/AFP
