US arms sales to Taiwan

The Chinese Military expressed strong dissatisfaction with and resolute opposition to the U.S. State department's approval of a plan to sell weapons worth about 2.22 billion U.S. Dollars to Taiwan.

Spokesman for China's Ministry of National Defense "Wu Qian" said the Chinese Military has lodged solemn representations with the U.S. Side.

He said Taiwan is a part of China. And Taiwan question is a domestic affair within China.

China's firm opposition to U.S. Arms sales to Taiwan is clear and consistent.
