Shahid Mirza appointed as Colonel Commandant of Punjab Regiment by Army Chief

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited Punjab Regiment Centre Mardan here on Tuesday.
As per ISPR statement, Army Chief pinned the badges of Colonel Commandant of Punjab Regiment to Military Secretary Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza in an impressive ceremony.
Later, Army Chief also met with former commanders, soldiers of Regiment and relatives of martyrs. He also met with Taimoor Khan, son of Lance Naik Pervaz Khan who embraced martyrdom in suicide attack on NADRA office in Mardan.
Army Chief lauded the bravery and courage of Pervaz Khan and assured full support to bereaved family.
