LAHORE - Former Sri Lankan great and MCC President Kumar Sangakkara is all praise for Pakistan and Pakistanis.Former Sri Lankan cricketer and Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) president Kumar Sangakkara said that the people of Pakistan are very warm hearted and hospitable.
A team of Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) led by Kumar Sangakkara has arrived in Lahore today. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Wasim Khan welcomed the guests at the airport which included the MCC President Kumar Sangakkara, who himself returned to the country after 11 years.
While addressing to a press conference alongside PCB's chief executive Wasim Khan, Kumar Sangakkara admired the hospitability and kindness of the Pakistani people and said that he really enjoyed whenever he get to visit the host country.
Kumar Sangakkara also expressed how excited he was for coming to Pakista after a long gap of almost 11 years, "Many beautiful memories are associated with Pakistan, especially with Lahore".
While recalling the past, Sri Lankan legend said that he came to Pakistan for the first time in 2002 and played a Test match against Wasim, Waqar, Razzaq, Integration and Shoaib.
He further laudhed Pakistan's efforts to minimize the security threats that stopped the International sporting events in the country for long, "There is a clear message to all the teams across the world that we are here in Pakistan as cricket ambassadors".
