Rangers detains 5 terrorists in Karachi under Raad-ul-Fasaad

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, in an important success under operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, has arrested five terrorists from Mawach Goth area of the city.

Addressing a news conference at the Rangers Headquarters here on Wednesday, Rangers' Operation Incharge, Col Qaiser said the terrorists belonging to a banned outfit were arrested on a tip off.

Eight kilogram explosive material, one suicide jacket, 4 hand grenades, 4 ball bombs, detonators, 4 SMGs, two pistols and anti-state literature were recovered from their possession, he added.

The suspects were identified as Tahir Zaman alias Faisal Mota, Muhammad Nawaz, Bilal Ahmed alias Kashif alias Javed, Muhammad Irfan Siddiqui and M Shaheedi.

Colonel Qaiser said the Rangers would continue taking action against terrorists and anti-state elements till the restoration of complete peace, and no leniency would be observed with elements involved in criminal activities.

He appealed to people to cooperate with Rangers in the identification of terrorists. (APP)
